RV Parks At Edmonton

The city of Edmonton is located around the North Saskatchewan River and is the capital of the province of Alberta. In terms of area, it occupies the second spot and is pretty prominent on the Canadian map. In time, it has become a wonderful place to stay and also attracts a large number of tourists from all across the world in a want to experience something different from the rest. The climate here is semi arid which can easily be adapted to. Loads of tourists come in RVs which is why, the demand for RV parks are fairly high. Few parks to choose from include:

a) Glowing Embers RV Park: Considered to be one of the largest and still the cleanest, this park has earned itself a good reputation. With approx. 290 sites to choose from, it is well equipped and highly spacious. Visitors get the opportunity of enjoy the peaceful surroundings, relax and do various other activities here. Some facilities provided to them by the administration here are: Laundromat, General Stores, Washrooms, Picnic Tables, Lamps and Internet. These amenities more than make sure that tourists have a good time.

b) Longriders Edmonton RV Park: With 228 RV and 18 pull thru sites, this is the largest RV Park in Edmonton. Located nearby are a number of attractions that can be visited including the likes of Goose Hummock Golf Resort, Fort Saskatchewan and Heartland Industrial Area. Amenities provided to people here include shower house, camp stoves, internet facilities, firewood, lamps, telephones etc. This camp is open throughout the year which proves to be very convenient for anyone who comes without planning.

c) Whitemud Creet Golf & RV Resort: Located at south west of Edmonton, this is Golf cum RV Resort. Its location (in a valley) allows people to spend some peaceful time away from the usually city hustle. The valley is full of prairie trees and the view is nothing less than majestic. In all, a total of 85 sites exist along with a 9 - hole golf course that can be visited for some leisure time.

d) Shakers Acres Campground and RV Park: A total of 168 sites exist at this park and is adequately equipped to accommodate campers and motor homes apart from the RVs. Facilities made available include laundry, internet connection, showers, playground for kids, picnic tables etc. Most of the sites have power, water and sewer installations; however, there are some which only have power and water.

There are a number of other RV sites located near and around Edmonton. Most of them can be found on the internet or by contacting the tourism department of the state. Rest assured that everyone here is very polite and helpful implying that they would try and resolve all problems as far as possible. Tourists can come anytime during the year and park at one of these places. Not only can they enjoy the city but also experience the thrill of camping at a new place in a new environment.
